March, 2011 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Since 2005, the McGill First Peoples' House has facilitated a sports camp for aboriginal youth, ages 13-17, in order to promote higher education at McGill and high performance lifestyles through sport and recreation. Twenty to thirty participants from across Canada are given the opportunity to participate in this three-day event, which includes a variety of sport activities, fitness testing, and education from aboriginal role models. Plans are underway for the Eagle Spirit High Performance Camp to take place again in 2011, from May 20th - 22nd! Here is a video of the 2010 Eagle Spirit High Performance Camp. Watch the video here.

One of our fan from Facebook asked if the National Aboriginal Hockey Championship (NAHC) have been cancelled... oh no, 2011 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships are still going on and teams selected will leave April 25 from central Alberta after their first skate Sunday, then will leave to Saskatoon and have another skate their at 7 pm. We already have the draws for when the females and males play. Its going to be fun and exciting!

Please note that Friday, March 25th is the deadline date for accepting player registration forms. Feburary, 2011 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ There was a question asked from our Facebook fans for the Tom Newell Basketball Coaching Clinic & Players Camp: "how many are they taking for the coaches camp?"
Answer: First 80 paid participants at each camp; must register asap at which ever one you are wanting to attend; Edmonton or Calgary.
Please note everyone... for the 2011 Team Alberta Selection Camp for the 2011 National Aboriginal Hockey Championship, the age group is Bantam/midget; for both male and female representing Team Alberta at the Nationals in Saskatoon; May 26 to April 1, 2011.
If you are interested please download the registration form and fax back to us at the ISCA office; please completely fill the form with parent or guardian signatures first camp will be March.
